GEBLA is a made-up word, composed of parts of my First and Last names, Georg Blaschke. This name might not be very creative but in the framebuilding trade there is a tradition to put the builders name on the frame. In most cases the name on the tubes has nothing to do with who built the frame. That is different with GEBLA frames: It is on the frame what is in the frame.

That this made-up word has no meaning suits my work. I build all kind of frames and all kind of bicycles: Road Bikes, Mountainbikes, Touring Bikes, City Bikes, Kids Bikes. A name with a meaning quickly leads into a corner in which I do not want to word exclusively.
