Welcome to GEBLA!

The revised website is not complete yet, but there is a lot to read already. I could not translate a lot into english yet, have a look at the News for the latest pages I translated. As You will find out quickly I am not a native english speaker, so please do not hesitate to let me know it something is wrong or could be misunderstood. I appreciate any help to become better.

Several pages of this website are very important to me and are necessary to understand what makes my frames and bikes different and special. It is not as easy as buying a production bike. You cannot go to the local bike store and buy a GEBLA just because you like the fancy color. Usually this is a longer process rather where You might find out more about Your needs and whishes. Often the decision for a frame or bike handmade to order has been made bevore the first visit here and the question is which framebuilder would be the one to make it. Every framebuilder has his style, his expertise and his philosophy. All things that are not recognizably on the first view. But things that are important if You have to make the decision if I could be the right framebuilder for Your bike.

You will find a good overview at Questions and Answers, a kind of FAQ. A lot of topics are bespoken in a short manner and You will find several links to pages containing more details. It ist also a page to answer to questions I got via email or have been asked in internet forums.

I am an engineer. Why do I build bicycles and what are my goals? Some answers can be found in Incentive and Claim (The Philosophy) and also on the page About GEBLA.

If You would like to have a deep view into bicycle technology You can find a lot on the Technical Articles pages. These pages also explain what is important to me when developing and building my frames and bikes.

A lot of what is going on in the world today cannot be explained without having a look into history. So it is with every GEBLA frame: Every one is the product of the history of the bicycle components and frames I developed and built. A few moments of this history You can find on the History Tour pages.

Last but not least it is important what my actual frames and bikes look like. And here will be a lot of progress of this website, because I am lacking of enough good photos of my GEBLA-frames.

I wish You a nice stay,

Georg Blaschke
